While Prober & Raphael appears for itself in bankruptcy cases filed in California, it utilizes local counsel to appear in non-California bankruptcy venues. Bankruptcy referrals outside of California are not “farmed-out” to third parties. Instead the local counsel involvement is limited to filing the pleadings and appearing in court. Prober & Raphael analyzes each case, prepares all appropriate pleadings in compliance with local rules of each court, negotiates directly with opposing counsel and provides the instruction/guidance to each local counsel before appearances.
